Fargo SC's Jos Kinear proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Fargo SC from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Izaak de Boer kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jos Kinear. That made the score 1-1 in the 47 minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frederick Verdonck to make the kick off. After some careless play in the sc de Jong defense, Arjen Stolte kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mathieu Roetering. The sc de Jong fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mathieu Roetering should have stopped the shot. In the 62nd match minute, sc de Jong was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaap Themmen to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fargo SC's goalkeeper Jos Kinear, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Izaak de Boer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Jos Kinear tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jos Kinear took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaap Themmen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 71 played minutes sc de Jong got a freekick which was hit by Jaap Themmen. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arjen Stolte in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mathieu Roetering saved sc de Jong from getting behind. In the 80th minute, Johan Seinstra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Antoon Huizing came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Fargo SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antoon Huizing couldn't finish the play. Bjorn Abbenbroek hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After 85 minutes of play, Fargo SC's Billy Sluis made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mathieu Roetering was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mathieu Roetering showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arjan Ros in the 89th minute of the match. If Jaap Themmen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 97 minutes into the match, sc de Jong's goal looked a bit too open when Arjan Ros came free, but Mathieu Roetering reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Fargo SC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
