Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arjan Ros started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fargo SC's goalkeeper Jos Kinear, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Huib de Zwaan managed to get in a good position for a shot. GALATASARAY's supporters rose to their feet, but Huib de Zwaan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jos Kinear breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Fargo SC defense, Norbert Balogh kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jos Kinear. The Fargo SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jos Kinear should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antoon Huizing during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th minute, Antoon Huizing hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jasper van Beukering in the 17th minute of play forced Fargo SC's goalkeeper Jos Kinear to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Fargo SC's Ted van As got a free kick in the 19th minute. The long shot by Norbert Balogh in the 19th minute really tested Jos Kinear's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 20th minute, Arjen Stolte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute of the game, Stef Zadelhoff landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 22 minutes, Jasper van Beukering mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GALATASARAY and the Fargo SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th minute, Jasper van Beukering hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the GALATASARAY defense, Arjen Stolte kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hans Pik. The GALATASARAY fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hans Pik should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Fargo SC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Tjeerd Vonk hit a great ball. The supporters of GALATASARAY booed when Fargo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogier Kiewit didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as GALATASARAY's Norbert Balogh slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jos Kinear. That made the score 2-1 after 42 minutes of play. Gerard Hoogsteen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Jos Kinear made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gerard Hoogsteen was the one to do the kick off. Jos Kinear showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jasper van Beukering, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Ferry Dekkers kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Gerard Hoogsteen made a precise shot to the right of Jos Kinear. Fargo SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Jos Kinear came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by GALATASARAY's Gerard Hoogsteen. But to his dismay, Gerard Hoogsteen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Michael Valentijn lost his temper 65 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 64th minute, one of Fargo SC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fargo SC. The referee gave GALATASARAY a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Norbert Balogh, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Fargo SC's Jos Kinear. 5-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Huib de Zwaan during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Huib de Zwaan kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Fargo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Gerard Hoogsteen came free, but Jos Kinear reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jasper van Beukering in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jos Kinear prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 80 minutes into the game, Gerard Hoogsteen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. Jos Kinear was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of GALATASARAY booed when Fargo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Folkert Kolkman didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the game, Ferry Dekkers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GALATASARAY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fargo SC the free kick. Ferry Dekkers kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Hans Pik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arjan Ros in the 88th minute of the match. In the 95th minute of the match Antoon Huizing shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hans Pik showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. GALATASARAY's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
