In the 11th minute, Rik Clarijs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurits van der Bij in the 12th minute of play forced S.C. David van Putten was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Stevensbeek FC's David van Putten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elano Domingues in the 29th minute of play. But to his dismay, Elano Domingues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Elano Domingues made the kick off in the second half. Bernard Witters made in the 51st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Maurits van der Bij however managed to control. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anthony Bakhuis got free with Mathijs Tevreden in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 56 minutes into the match, S.C. Potentia's Elano Domingues sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David van Putten narrowly saved just below the crossbar. David van Putten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elano Domingues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elano Domingues might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David van Putten. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elano Domingues ran back to his position shaking his head. David van Putten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elano Domingues in the 61st minute of the match. After 64 minutes of play, S.C. Potentia's Elano Domingues made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David van Putten was left in no man's land by his defense there! David van Putten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elano Domingues, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Stevensbeek FC's Anthony Bakhuis got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David van Putten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elano Domingues in the 75th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elano Domingues in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David van Putten prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Stevensbeek FC defense, Elano Domingues kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David van Putten. The Stevensbeek FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David van Putten should have stopped the shot. Mathijs Tevreden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anthony Bakhuis in the 84th minute of the match. In the 90th minute Anthony Bakhuis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathijs Tevreden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mathieu Koning fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.C. Potentia's protests and gave Mathieu Koning a yellow card for diving instead. After 93 played minutes S.C. Potentia got a freekick which was hit by Mathieu Koning. The S.C. Potentia support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
