Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Norbert Balogh took the kick off in the first half of the match. Huib Baatenburg hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 5th minute of the match, Jasper van Beukering got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jan Czempa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to GALATASARAY getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Jasper van Beukering hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, GALATASARAY's Ferry Dekkers got a free kick in the 10th minute. Emil Bergqvist scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hans Pik, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 18 minutes into the game, Norbert Balogh recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jan Czempa. Norbert Balogh showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Schafelt RKSV's zone, Humberto Roodenburg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Czempa came out of the goal and Humberto Roodenburg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The GALATASARAY fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when GALATASARAY's Jasper van Beukering looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, GALATASARAY's Humberto Roodenburg got a free kick in the 28th minute. After 30 played minutes, Schafelt RKSV's Lieven Kapotas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hans Pik came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Schafelt RKSV reached it. Humberto Roodenburg succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-1 in the 33rd playminute. After 35 played minutes GALATASARAY got a freekick which was hit by Norbert Balogh. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norbert Balogh in the 38th minute of play forced Schafelt RKSV's goalkeeper Jan Czempa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th match minute, GALATASARAY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donald van der Meijde to maneuver through the defense. Hans Pik came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Schafelt RKSV's Lieven Kapotas. But to his dismay, Lieven Kapotas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Hans Pik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Bergqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute Lieven Kapotas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Pik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

If Donald van der Meijde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 53 minutes into the match, Jasper van Beukering had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan Czempa. Schafelt RKSV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jasper van Beukering was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norbert Balogh in the 59th minute of play forced Schafelt RKSV's goalkeeper Jan Czempa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. GALATASARAY's Jasper van Beukering got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th minute, GALATASARAY's Rafael de Ridder seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rafael de Ridder the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of GALATASARAY protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rafael de Ridder had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 66th minute of the game. One of GALATASARAY:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Schafelt RKSV:s goal. 72 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Bergqvist came free, but Hans Pik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Norbert Balogh ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan Czempa was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-3. 78 minutes into the game, GALATASARAY's Donald van der Meijde nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jan Czempa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-3. Emil Bergqvist struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Hans Pik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Schafelt RKSV. Jan Czempa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donald van der Meijde in the 82nd minute of play. The long shot by Ennio Borel in the 88th minute really tested Hans Pik's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 91 minutes into the match, Schafelt RKSV's goal looked a bit too open when Norbert Balogh came free, but Jan Czempa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Lieven Kapotas in the 94th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by GALATASARAY's Humberto Roodenburg. Jan Czempa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norbert Balogh, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the referee ended the match the GALATASARAY players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
