Roman Pitin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rob Poelman having to interfere. Mathijs Tevreden stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Agostinho Vidal's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Elano Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 17th minute Elano Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rob Poelman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elano Domingues blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rob Poelman having to make a save. Rob Poelman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elano Domingues in the 19th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, S.C. Potentia's goal looked a bit too open when Agostinho Vidal came free, but Mathijs Tevreden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Rob Poelman managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when S.C. Potentia's Elano Domingues fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roman Pitin during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, S.C. Potentia's Roman Pitin got a free kick in the 39th minute. With a little luck, Mijdrecht Maffia's Rob Poelman got control of the ball when Roman Pitin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elano Domingues made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Folker Waidijk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elano Domingues in the 57th minute of play forced Mijdrecht Maffia's goalkeeper Rob Poelman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. S.C. Potentia were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after Mijdrecht Maffia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Roman Pitin took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bram Wessel in the 65th minute of play forced S.C. Potentia's goalkeeper Mathijs Tevreden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. S.C. Potentia's attentive Roger Ijspol managed to snatch the ball when Arda Heerckes made a throw-in in the 67th minute of the game. 68 minutes in the game, Bram Wessel fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Mathijs Tevreden having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Elano Domingues left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.C. Potentia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Mathijs Tevreden was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Agostinho Vidal showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 77 minute of play. Anton Rovsing blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rob Poelman having to make a save. Roman Pitin kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Roman Pitin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Rob Poelman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mijdrecht Maffia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
