Seating: 1956, VIP seats: 170) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Elmar Dam got the match started through his kick off. Joost van Halst kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, GALATASARAY's Giovanni van Olst tried to score from far away in the 3rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as sc de Jong's Elmar Dam slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hans Pik. That made the score 2-0 after 7 minutes of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joost van Halst in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hans Pik saved GALATASARAY from getting behind. Otto Dijken kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Hans Pik was a little too slow when Izaak de Boer got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 4-0. Donald van der Meijde charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donald van der Meijde the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Donald van der Meijde hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Emil Dekens shot from long distance in the 22nd minute, but Hans Pik was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Mathieu Roetering took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giovanni van Olst, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jaap Themmen took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hans Pik. Hans Pik dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. In the 34th minute, sc de Jong's Izaak de Boer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 7-0. In the 38th minute of the match, Jan van der Meijde got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hans Pik was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 40th minute, Jaap Themmen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The sc de Jong fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Hans Pik made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Jaap Themmen sent off a good shot on target. In the 44th minute, Donald van der Meijde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute, sc de Jong's Elmar Dam ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hans Pik. Hans Pik yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 9-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 9-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Giovanni van Olst stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hans Pik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaap Themmen in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Elmar Dam ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hans Pik was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. GALATASARAY's Hans Pik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaap Themmen in the 60th minute of play. Jasper van Beukering could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Mathieu Roetering made a huge save. 65 minutes into the match, Elmar Dam notched a goal, 11-0, to the right of GALATASARAY's Hans Pik. Hans Pik was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. GALATASARAY's Hans Pik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elmar Dam in the 69th minute of play. Jaap Themmen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaap Themmen in the 72nd minute of play forced GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Hans Pik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan van der Meijde struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Hans Pik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for sc de Jong. Izaak de Boer took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hans Pik. Hans Pik dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 12-0. After 83 minutes, Christijan Germs mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GALATASARAY and the sc de Jong players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in GALATASARAY's zone, Jan van der Meijde stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hans Pik came out of the goal and Jan van der Meijde tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. sc de Jong's Jan van der Meijde got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Elco Kort hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 96 played minutes sc de Jong got a freekick which was hit by Bjorn Abbenbroek. Mathieu Roetering was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Giovanni van Olst. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. sc de Jong fully deserved thier win.
