Chiel Brinke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giovanni van Olst, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jasper van Beukering could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Chiel Brinke made a huge save. Chiel Brinke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donald van der Meijde in the 39th minute of the match. Hans Pik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sipke Kroon in the 42nd minute of play. If Giovanni van Olst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Zijdewind SC's zone, Jasper van Beukering stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chiel Brinke came out of the goal and Jasper van Beukering tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chiel Brinke was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Humberto Roodenburg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Humberto Roodenburg really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1.

Sipke Kroon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Chiel Brinke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Roodenburg in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 66th minute Jasper van Beukering shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chiel Brinke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zijdewind SC's Chiel Brinke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jasper van Beukering in the 68th minute of play. GALATASARAY's supporters rose to their feet, but Donald van der Meijde was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chiel Brinke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72nd minute, Sjors Hoekstra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jasper van Beukering struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Chiel Brinke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GALATASARAY. After 78 minutes, Donald van der Meijde mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GALATASARAY and the Zijdewind SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to GALATASARAY getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Donald van der Meijde hit a great ball. After 80 minutes of play, GALATASARAY's Jasper van Beukering made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chiel Brinke was left in no man's land by his defense there! 83 minutes into the match, Giovanni van Olst notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Zijdewind SC's Chiel Brinke. Chiel Brinke was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 87th minute Jasper van Beukering shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chiel Brinke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giovanni van Olst received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Chiel Brinke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. GALATASARAY's supporters rose to their feet, but Jasper van Beukering was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chiel Brinke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Donald van der Meijde blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Chiel Brinke having to make a save. GALATASARAY walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
