In the 25th match minute, Kelmond S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerrit Hooiveld to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as The Maquis's Ruben Seinstra slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pedrão Sarmento. That made the score 2-0 after 43 minutes of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ruben Seinstra to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerrit Hooiveld got free with Walther Jano in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ruben Seinstra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedrão Sarmento having to make a save. Gerrit Hooiveld kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. The Maquis's Walther Jano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save The Maquis from getting a goal against them. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. The Maquis were victorious despite being under pressure from Kelmond S.C. for much of the match.
