Spectators: 9233 (Terracing: 6926, Seating: 2124, VIP seats: 183) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sjef Fellinger started the match with the kick off. After some careless play in the De Pelgrims defense, Sjef Fellinger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mike Zoetmulder. The De Pelgrims fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mike Zoetmulder should have stopped the shot. When Fu Peng Feng fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored De Pelgrims's protests and gave Fu Peng Feng a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to De Pelgrims getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Fu Peng Feng hit a great ball. Mike Zoetmulder stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mathias Koole's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Montrel Perpiñán sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baal Vanger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Huub Gerrits in the 15th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mathias de Ruijter in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baal Vanger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Holtland FC defense, Mathias de Ruijter kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baal Vanger. The Holtland FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baal Vanger should have stopped the shot. In the 29th minute, Henk Cardinaal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Holtland FC's Baal Vanger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias de Ruijter in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathias de Ruijter in the 41st minute of play forced Holtland FC's goalkeeper Baal Vanger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 43 played minutes Holtland FC got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Moberg. Erben Roelofs kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mathias de Ruijter to make the kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Henk Cardinaal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Holtland FC's Baal Vanger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 55 minutes into the game, Sjef Fellinger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Holtland FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave De Pelgrims the free kick. After 55 played minutes Holtland FC got a freekick which was hit by Sjef Fellinger. Baal Vanger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathias de Ruijter in the 59th minute of the match. Baal Vanger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henk Cardinaal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Holtland FC's Baal Vanger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias de Ruijter in the 63rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mathias de Ruijter in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baal Vanger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Baal Vanger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias de Ruijter in the 68th minute of play. De Pelgrims's Mike Zoetmulder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias Koole in the 71st minute of play. Holtland FC made a substitution. Benjamin Lyle replaced Jonathan Hoogstrate. Mike Zoetmulder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinny Jones, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Baal Vanger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mathias de Ruijter in the 89th minute.
