Anton Schepers was slow to take the kick. During this time Overschie's players had a chance to rest. Overschie's Anton Schepers was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dennis Beerthuis in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 10th match minute, Overschie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivo Bosz to maneuver through the defense. Mathijs Grommers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Niek Kiewit read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Pascal Zalm might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Niek Kiewit. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pascal Zalm ran back to his position shaking his head. Overschie's Niek Kiewit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascal Zalm in the 15th minute of play. Daan Paauwe got a throw-in 17 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ruud Koning. Pascal Zalm might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Niek Kiewit. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pascal Zalm ran back to his position shaking his head. Niek Kiewit made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Pascal Zalm sent off a good shot on target. Winthont FC's Sander Schaars managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Daan Paauwe in the 20 minute of the game. Dennis Beerthuis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Bueno in the 22nd minute of play. Roger Bueno spun around in front of the goal 22 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Winthont FC's goal. Pascal Zalm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 24 minutes into the match, Overschie's goalkeeper Niek Kiewit had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pascal Zalm. Dennis Beerthuis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Bueno, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Overschie's Niek Kiewit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascal Zalm in the 27th minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mathijs Grommers to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Geert Arend Roodenburg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascal Zalm in the 57th minute of play forced Overschie's goalkeeper Niek Kiewit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roger Bueno in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Niek Kiewit showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermengildo Nesor, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 76th minute Winthont FC were awarded a corner. Sander Schaars went to the cornerflag to take it. If Anton Schepers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 82 minutes in the game Daan Paauwe did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ruud Koning. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hermengildo Nesor in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Niek Kiewit saved Overschie from getting behind. 86 minutes into the game, Winthont FC's Hermengildo Nesor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Niek Kiewit made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Winthont FC's Hermengildo Nesor got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Winthont FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Mathijs Grommers hit a great ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Winthont FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Overschie for much of the match.
