Wilco Willemse hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Ritchie Granville could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Ed Oosterveld made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Revenge's Ed Oosterveld threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wilco Willemse, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 13 played minutes Revenge got a freekick which was hit by Maurits Hooiveld. 14 minutes into the match, Revenge's goal looked a bit too open when Timo van Wonderen came free, but Pieter Hosson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Defender Red Bull2.1's Ed Oosterveld proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Defender Red Bull2.1 from getting a goal against them. Pieter Hosson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jasper Maes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Revenge's Lennart de Boer got a free kick in the 26th minute. Revenge's Pieter Hosson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timo van Wonderen in the 27th minute of play. In the 30th minute Govert Beuneker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pieter Hosson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pieter Hosson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Govert Beuneker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Rafe Almazan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pieter Hosson. Revenge's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rafe Almazan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Pieter Hosson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafe Almazan in the 34th minute of the match. Defender Red Bull2.1's Ed Oosterveld played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ritchie Granville in the 36th minute of play. Govert Beuneker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pieter Hosson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. If Wilco Willemse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Revenge defense, Elmar Korf kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pieter Hosson. The Revenge fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pieter Hosson should have stopped the shot. After the first half Defender Red Bull2.1 were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rafe Almazan made a kick off. A collision led to Defender Red Bull2.1 getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Vlad Ivan hit a great ball. 53 minutes into the match, Revenge's goal looked a bit too open when Govert Beuneker came free, but Pieter Hosson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Revenge's Pieter Hosson got control of the ball when Timo van Wonderen tried to sneak it across the goal line. 57 minutes into the game, Revenge's Alwin Sterenberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ed Oosterveld made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Defender Red Bull2.1 were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after Revenge's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Telmo Coira took the corner. The crowd rose to their feet as Elmar Korf kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pieter Hosson. That made the score 1-3 in the 65 minute of play. In the 72nd minute of the game 许帆勇 made a throw-in which Peter Otten played forward. Jan Buys lost his temper 77 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Revenge fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 77th minute. Penalty! Revenge:s Pieter Hosson showed great skill when he stopped Telmo Coira:s penalty. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Telmo Coira took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Pieter Hosson to make any attempt to save it. Hette Heuvel hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Defender Red Bull2.1's Ed Oosterveld played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ritchie Granville in the 85th minute of play. Pieter Hosson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timo van Wonderen in the 88th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, 许帆勇 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Revenge's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Timo van Wonderen scored to the left of an out of position Pieter Hosson, making the score, 1-5. 96 minutes into the game, Alwin Sterenberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Revenge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Defender Red Bull2.1 the free kick. The Defender Red Bull2.1 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Defender Red Bull2.1 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
