Christiaan van de Meerakker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Ed Oosterveld made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans Meijs in the 46th minute of play forced FC Schoonhoven's goalkeeper Marcus Björling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Defender Red Bull2.1 booed when FC Schoonhoven was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christiaan van de Meerakker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ed Oosterveld came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Schoonhoven's Mehmet Bedri Sağanalp. But to his dismay, Mehmet Bedri Sağanalp quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-5. After 80 played minutes FC Schoonhoven got a freekick which was hit by Demy Timmermans. Marcus Björling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans Meijs in the 84th minute of play. A collision led to FC Schoonhoven getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Demy Timmermans hit a great ball. Ed Oosterveld made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Bedri Sağanalp in the 86th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Defender Red Bull2.1's goal looked a bit too open when Mehmet Bedri Sağanalp came free, but Ed Oosterveld reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Govert Beuneker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Marcus Björling made a huge save. Marcus Björling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans Meijs, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute.
