FC Bal op het Dak's Maurício Bomba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nick Heesen in the 5th minute of play. Maurício Bomba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nick Heesen in the 9th minute of the match. Dan Kjellman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georg Hagberg having to interfere. 17 minutes into the game, Gregorio Urtsin threw the ball into play from the sideline. FC Bal op het Dak's Joop Meder quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. FC Bal op het Dak's Maurício Bomba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manolo Bartumeu in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manolo Bartumeu in the 29th minute of play forced FC Bal op het Dak's goalkeeper Maurício Bomba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Joep Ponk came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Ágætis Byrjun fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joep Ponk couldn't finish the play. In the 44th match minute, Ágætis Byrjun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregorio Urtsin to maneuver through the defense. Georg Hagberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Kjellman in the 48th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Maurício Bomba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manolo Bartumeu, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. 53 minutes into the game, Gregorio Urtsin threw the ball into play from the sideline. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dan Kjellman in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Georg Hagberg saved Ágætis Byrjun from getting behind. Maurício Bomba made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Joep Ponk sent off a good shot on target. Joop Bakker hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Ágætis Byrjun's Gitano Rubiero was substituted for Manolo Bartumeu. FC Bal op het Dak made a substitution. Nico Hagenouw replaced Válbson Almeida. FC Bal op het Dak made a substitution. Iwan Valentijn replaced Aristides Gombal. Ágætis Byrjun made a substitution. Gert van den Bergh replaced Joep Ponk. FC Bal op het Dak's Martijn August was substituted for Dan Kjellman. The crowd rose to their feet as Ágætis Byrjun's Nick Heesen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maurício Bomba. That made the score 2-1 after 83 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nick Heesen got free with Maurício Bomba in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Georg Hagberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iwan Valentijn in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Bal op het Dak fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ágætis Byrjun had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
