Taco Timmermans was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Dolf Schoonderwoerd in the 6th minute of play forced Landgraaf 07's goalkeeper Taco Timmermans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Taco Timmermans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dolf Schoonderwoerd in the 13th minute of the match. Kazım Efe kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Dolf Schoonderwoerd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st minute, The Underdogs's Emil Kyurpanov seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Emil Kyurpanov the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of The Underdogs protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Emil Kyurpanov had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 20 minutes into the game, one of The Underdogs:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 22nd minute there was a penalty for Landgraaf 07. Karsten Wijnands stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jan Wessel. 1-2. The supporters of Landgraaf 07 booed when The Underdogs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dolf Schoonderwoerd didn't get a good kick on the ball. Taco Timmermans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dolf Schoonderwoerd in the 31st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kurt Redan got free with Jan Wessel in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Underdogs's Jan Wessel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save The Underdogs from getting a goal against them. A collision led to The Underdogs getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Robin Boelens hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Landgraaf 07's Karsten Wijnands dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dolf Schoonderwoerd made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Landgraaf 07's Laurențiu Ciocan got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After 58 played minutes Landgraaf 07 got a freekick which was hit by Lukas Kvarnström. Landgraaf 07's Taco Timmermans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Landgraaf 07 from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Redan in the 68th minute of play forced The Underdogs's goalkeeper Jan Wessel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan Wessel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karsten Wijnands, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 75th match minute, Landgraaf 07 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurențiu Ciocan to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute Laurențiu Ciocan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Wessel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When The Underdogs's Robin Boelens in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Landgraaf 07's goalie prevented a goal. 84 minutes into the match, The Underdogs's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Redan came free, but Jan Wessel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Landgraaf 07's zone, Dolf Schoonderwoerd stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Taco Timmermans came out of the goal and Dolf Schoonderwoerd tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Underdogs's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
