The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. George Wiklund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrik Larsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. The audience was convinced that Henrik Larsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but George Wiklund was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. The supporters of Decathlon Dudes booed when Lemel SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Furia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Decathlon Dudes's Tadej Pogačar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfred Konradsson in the 17th minute of play. After 21 played minutes Decathlon Dudes got a freekick which was hit by Karsten Schoonderwoerd. Pieter Trip's late challenge caught a Decathlon Dudes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pieter Trip helped the player get up and apologised. Pieter Trip kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Manfred Konradsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Tadej Pogačar made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrik Larsson in the 28th minute of play forced Lemel SV's goalkeeper George Wiklund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Henrik Larsson notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Lemel SV's George Wiklund. George Wiklund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henrik Larsson in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck George Wiklund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. George Wiklund came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Decathlon Dudes's Costin Moisil. But to his dismay, Costin Moisil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Costin Moisil hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. George Wiklund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Idelberger in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Henrik Larsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. George Wiklund was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manfred Konradsson to make the kick off. Decathlon Dudes's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 60th match minute, Decathlon Dudes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvester Rambo to maneuver through the defense. Lemel SV's Dennis Bergkamp was substituted for Manfred Konradsson. Silvester Rambo hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Furia in the 68th minute of play forced Decathlon Dudes's goalkeeper Tadej Pogačar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henrik Larsson scored 0-5 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of George Wiklund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ettore Petroni in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tadej Pogačar saved Decathlon Dudes from getting behind. Tadej Pogačar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Furia in the 74th minute of play. Tadej Pogačar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Bergkamp in the 77th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Lemel SV's goalkeeper George Wiklund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henrik Larsson. Tadej Pogačar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Bergkamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Lemel SV's Dennis Bergkamp in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. George Wiklund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Decathlon Dudes's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
