Thiago Gol started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Henrik Larsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Decathlon Dudes's supporters rose to their feet, but Henrik Larsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petr Čech breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Petr Čech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrik Larsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. The supporters of Decathlon Dudes booed when SCs StarS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sander Daniel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, Thiago Gol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind SCs StarS's goalkeeper Petr Čech, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Petr Čech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrik Larsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 34th minute by Henrik Larsson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Costin Moisil during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Decathlon Dudes getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Costin Moisil hit a great ball. Tadej Pogačar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thiago Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the match, SCs StarS's goal looked a bit too open when Henrik Larsson came free, but Petr Čech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Henrik Larsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petr Čech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrik Larsson in the 46th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

SCs StarS made a substitution. Henk Zijden replaced Edgar Reitsema. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henrik Larsson to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, SCs StarS's Thiago Gol sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tadej Pogačar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, SCs StarS's Florian Hekman got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 63rd minute Florian Hekman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadej Pogačar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, Co Scholten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 66 minutes into the match, SCs StarS's goal looked a bit too open when Henrik Larsson came free, but Petr Čech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SCs StarS's Petr Čech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrik Larsson in the 68th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, SCs StarS's goal looked a bit too open when Henrik Larsson came free, but Petr Čech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Henrik Larsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Decathlon Dudes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 75th minute Jordy Dirks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadej Pogačar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Idelberger in the 77th minute of play forced SCs StarS's goalkeeper Petr Čech to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, SCs StarS's goal looked a bit too open when Henrik Larsson came free, but Petr Čech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Petr Čech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruben Idelberger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrik Larsson in the 85th minute of play forced SCs StarS's goalkeeper Petr Čech to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florian Hekman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadej Pogačar having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, SCs StarS's goal looked a bit too open when Henrik Larsson came free, but Petr Čech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Decathlon Dudes's Tadej Pogačar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Decathlon Dudes from getting a goal against them. If Costin Moisil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Decathlon Dudes were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SCs StarS for a fine match.
