After 5 played minutes, Harrogate's Tosin Okigbo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Yakwen Onuabunchi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Harrogate reached it. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Harrogate's goalkeeper Nnamdi Akeredolu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Onyeka Nakudu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yakwen Onuabunchi having to interfere. Kent Nkut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nko Olanubis short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Nnamdi Akeredolu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 19 played minutes Harrogate got a freekick which was hit by Izuchukwu Dooyum. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Nailsworth City's Kabiru Afunugo in the 22nd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Nnamdi Akeredolu was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Harrogate through an amazing save. In the 23rd minute, Izuchukwu Dooyum hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th match minute, Harrogate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aluka Bada to maneuver through the defense. Onyeka Nakudu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Yakwen Onuabunchi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harrogate's Onyeka Nakudu got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Nailsworth City booed when Harrogate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Izuchukwu Dooyum didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Kabiru Afunugo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute, Onyeka Nakudu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yakwen Onuabunchi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Nkut, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Yakwen Onuabunchi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Onyeka Nakudu in the 48th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kabiru Afunugo was the one to do the kick off. Aluka Bada kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Onyeka Nakudu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Yakwen Onuabunchi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 62 played minutes Harrogate got a freekick which was hit by Tosin Okigbo. Nko Olanubi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nnamdi Akeredolu having to interfere. If Nko Olanubi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nnamdi Akeredolu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nko Olanubi in the 70th minute of the match. When Harrogate's Kent Nkut in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nailsworth City's goalie prevented a goal. In the 76th minute, Onyeka Nakudu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yakwen Onuabunchi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Yakwen Onuabunchi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kent Nkut in the 84th minute of the match. If Onyeka Nakudu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Kent Nkut reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Yakwen Onuabunchi. The goal made the score 0-3. In the 99th minute, Kabiru Afunugo made a precise shot to the right of Nnamdi Akeredolu. Harrogate's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Harrogate walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
