In the 25th minute, Nkiruka Oshoniyi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Hilltown FC booed when Fc Dynamo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Idoko Okun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fc Dynamo's Ademuyiwa Abdu got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Fc Dynamo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Onyinye Obodoechi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Olejuru Olukunle to strike the kick off in the second half. Chinagorom Netufo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Onyinye Obodoechi in the 61st minute of play. Ifeatu Omiteru came free with the goalkeeper in the 63rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Criss Amadasu could save by the left post. Fc Dynamo's Idoko Okun suffered a concussion in the 64th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Viktor Onobo's late challenge caught a Fc Dynamo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Viktor Onobo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Hilltown FC's Viktor Onobo got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 71st minute, Nkiruka Oshoniyi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 77 played minutes Hilltown FC got a freekick which was hit by Onuoha Shaaka. When Ademuyiwa Abdu fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fc Dynamo's protests and gave Ademuyiwa Abdu a yellow card for diving instead. Ademuyiwa Abdu kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. When Onyinye Obodoechi came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Hilltown FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Onyinye Obodoechi couldn't finish the play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
