With a little luck, Brampton City's Abdu Eshieshi got control of the ball when Ndubuagha Ogor tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 16th minute Chidozie Nnanyelugo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdu Eshieshi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Omotayo Olutola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anayo Abioye, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Brampton City booed when Liskeard was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herbert Abodunde didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 21 played minutes, Brampton City's Chiefo Zeigbo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Omotayo Olutola came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Brampton City reached it. When Eluem Omorere fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brampton City's protests and gave Eluem Omorere a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Brampton City's Eluem Omorere got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Eluem Omorere was shown his second yellow card after 25 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 31st match minute, Liskeard was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dare Amarachi to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, Brampton City's Chiefo Zeigbo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of Brampton City booed when Liskeard was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chijioke Garo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute, Halim Abisogun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Omotayo Olutola was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. If Ini Odey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Martin Akubuike stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Halim Abisogun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Omotayo Olutola made a huge save. 58 minutes into the match, Liskeard's goal looked a bit too open when Anayo Abioye came free, but Omotayo Olutola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute, Liskeard's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Anayo Abioye fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Halim Abisogun in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Omotayo Olutola, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Obumnaeme Izon charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 84 minutes of play, Liskeard's Martin Akubuike made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abdu Eshieshi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Halim Abisogun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
