Juve 32's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Clint Gatt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Kyle Gabarretta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Juve 32 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Luqa St.Andrews were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clint Gatt to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Luqa St.Andrews's zone, Leonard Tufignio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tony Seracino came out of the goal and Leonard Tufignio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the match, Luqa St.Andrews's goal looked a bit too open when Leonard Tufignio came free, but Tony Seracino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kyle Gabarretta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Seracino having to interfere. Tony Chircop hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute Kyle Gabarretta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Seracino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute, Kyle Gabarretta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tony Seracino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charles Dimech, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roderick Busuttil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clint Gatt in the 84th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by Dejan DeGaetano got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Luqa St.Andrews would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
