In the 6th of the match, Jesred Titley tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Tony Seracino got in the way and made a wonderful save. Tony Seracino made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Andrew Captur sent off a good shot on target. Andrew Captur struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Tony Seracino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cospicua Youngsters. 21 minutes into the match, Cospicua Youngsters's goal looked a bit too open when Dejan DeGaetano came free, but Franco Axiak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 22 played minutes Cospicua Youngsters got a freekick which was hit by Christan Flask. Tony Seracino made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Andrew Captur sent off a good shot on target. If Jesred Titley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Andrew Captur succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 36th playminute. Clint Gatt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Axiak having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Jesred Titley made the kick off in the second half. The Cospicua Youngsters fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Cospicua Youngsters's Andrew Captur looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Christan Flask fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cospicua Youngsters's protests and gave Christan Flask a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cospicua Youngsters getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Cospicua Youngsters's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
