Tan Eren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carl Delia having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Cruz Azul FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nathaniel Hamilton came free, but Bjorn Zahra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Cedric Blanco came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Mosta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cedric Blanco couldn't finish the play. Tan Eren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Carl Delia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tan Eren came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Cruz Azul FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tan Eren couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Mosta FC's Robbie Borg Xuereb got a free kick in the 40th minute. Carl Delia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tan Eren in the 42nd minute of the match. Nathaniel Hamilton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bjorn Zahra having to interfere.

Bjorn Zahra was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cedric Blanco showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 51 minute of play. Michael Soler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cruz Azul FC's Bjorn Zahra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robbie Borg Xuereb in the 64th minute of play. With a little luck, Cruz Azul FC's Bjorn Zahra got control of the ball when Nathaniel Hamilton tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adrian Lia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bjorn Zahra having to interfere. If Cedric Blanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nathaniel Hamiltons short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Bjorn Zahra to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Cedric Blanco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bjorn Zahra having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cruz Azul FC's Peter Bonett got a free kick in the 78th minute. If Cedric Blanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carl Delia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chucky Ferreira went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mosta FC's goalkeeper Carl Delia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 88th match minute, Mosta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrew Sammut Castelletti to maneuver through the defense. Chucky Ferreira fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 92nd minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. Chants of Mosta FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Cruz Azul FC had held the ball for most of the match.
