With an extended leg and a bit of luck André Courtois prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 19thth minute of the game Stanislaw Koczara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Attard Gunners's Jay Jowsey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 47 minutes, André Courtois successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 47th minute, Joshua Sammut Castelletti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. André Courtois was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Osvaldo Alvarenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Templars FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. 73 minutes into the game, Attard Gunners's Adrian Savona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. André Courtois made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Adrian Savona scored 5-2 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of André Courtois, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With an all-out effort, Templars FC's Jay Jowsey threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jonathan Sammut, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 94 minutes into the match, Attard Gunners's goal looked a bit too open when Staffan Apelqvist came free, but Jay Jowsey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Attard Gunners had won after a very even match.
