Spectators: 10915 (Terracing: 8188, Seating: 2510, VIP seats: 217) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Stanislaw Koczara kicked off to start the match. With an all-out effort, Templars FC's Jay Jowsey threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Stanislaw Koczara, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 9 minutes of play, Attard Gunners's Sergen Sergen made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. André Courtois was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stanislaw Koczara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jay Jowsey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Attard Gunners's Sergen Sergen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that André Courtois narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 14th minute of the match Attard Gunners got a corner. Templars FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Godwin Sapiano ran over to the corner to take the kick. Attard Gunners's Godwin Sapiano was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but André Courtois in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Stanislaw Koczara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jay Jowsey having to make a save. 23 minutes into the match, Templars FC's Stanislaw Koczara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jay Jowsey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Templars FC were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Attard Gunners's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adelino Marques took the corner. The audience was convinced that Sergen Sergen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but André Courtois was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Stanislaw Koczara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Templars FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Stanislaw Koczara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jay Jowsey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Templars FC's Stanislaw Koczara in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Attard Gunners's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stanislaw Koczara in the 34th minute of play forced Attard Gunners's goalkeeper Jay Jowsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stanislaw Koczara succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 37th playminute. Jay Jowsey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stanislaw Koczara in the 40th minute of the match. Joshua Sammut Castelletti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Templars FC's zone, Sergen Sergen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Courtois came out of the goal and Sergen Sergen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Joshua Sammut Castelletti made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Templars FC's goalkeeper André Courtois had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joshua Sammut Castelletti. Jay Jowsey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stanislaw Koczara in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Glenn Bailey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jay Jowsey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stanislaw Koczara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the match, Templars FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sergen Sergen came free, but André Courtois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 66 minutes, Stanislaw Koczara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Templars FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stanislaw Koczara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Templars FC's Jonathan Sammut was substituted for Stanislaw Koczara. In the 75th match minute, Attard Gunners was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godwin Sapiano to maneuver through the defense. Attard Gunners's Alan Said was substituted for Sergen Sergen. In the 78th minute, Yavuz Selim Hekimhanlı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jay Jowsey came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Templars FC's Jonathan Sammut. But to his dismay, Jonathan Sammut quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Attard Gunners's Adrian Savona was substituted for Joshua Sammut Castelletti. André Courtois made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Alan Said sent off a good shot on target. In the 93rd minute Jonathan Sammut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jay Jowsey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Templars FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
