Mike Axisa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joshua Sammut Castelletti in the 4th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kim Bolas in the 6th minute of play forced Attard Gunners's goalkeeper Jay Jowsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Attard Gunners's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leszek Cupial was slow to take the kick. During this time Sliema Dragons FC's players had a chance to rest. Bjorn Fabri made a great header on Sliema Dragons FC's corner, it was just that Attard Gunners's Jay Jowsey managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Sliema Dragons FC booed when Attard Gunners was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glenn Bailey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mike Axisa was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Kim Bolas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jay Jowsey was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Mike Axisa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sergen Sergen's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Sergen Sergen put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Mike Axisa. In the 27th minute Kim Bolas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jay Jowsey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mike Axisa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergen Sergen in the 32nd minute of the match. Mike Axisa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergen Sergen in the 35th minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kim Bolas to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Kim Bolas notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Attard Gunners's Jay Jowsey. Jay Jowsey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 54th minute, Ulises Ixidor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mike Axisa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergen Sergen in the 60th minute of the match. Jay Jowsey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kim Bolas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sliema Dragons FC made a substitution. Dejan Cassar replaced Kim Bolas. The corner led Sliema Dragons FC's Leszek Cupial to fire away a dangerous shot which Jay Jowsey despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Sliema Dragons FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Jean Carl Cassar Torreggiani scored to the left of an out of position Mike Axisa, making the score, 2-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dejan Cassar in the 75th minute of play forced Attard Gunners's goalkeeper Jay Jowsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mike Axisa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergen Sergen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, Sliema Dragons FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sergen Sergen came free, but Mike Axisa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Attard Gunners's zone, Dejan Cassar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jay Jowsey came out of the goal and Dejan Cassar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Attard Gunners's Alan Said was substituted for Sergen Sergen. Mike Axisa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adrian Savona went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Attard Gunners walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
