The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Qu Peng Kang the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Eleven Young Elephants protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Qu Peng Kang had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Eleven Young Elephants's Qu Peng Kang got a free kick in the 6th minute. When Mario Boffa came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Victoria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mario Boffa couldn't finish the play. Fabio Savona kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Tommy Cauchi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicholas Quintano in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute Eleven Young Elephants were awarded a corner. Darren Carabott went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Darren Carabott got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tommy Cauchi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 43rd match minute, Eleven Young Elephants was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darren Carabott to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the match, Nicholas Quintano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Cauchi. Victoria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicholas Quintano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Szymon Dobilas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 50 minutes of play, Eleven Young Elephants's Nicholas Quintano made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Cauchi was left in no man's land by his defense there! 54 minutes into the match, Victoria's goalkeeper Tommy Cauchi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicholas Quintano. In the 55th minute of the match Eleven Young Elephants got a corner. Victoria's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Darren Carabott ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Eleven Young Elephants's corner Fabio Savona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tommy Cauchi quite easily take care of the ball. Darren Carabott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
