Spectators: 7563 (Terracing: 5644, Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bernhard Hommel kicked off to start the match. C.A. Spora's Leo Schmitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walter Lavigne in the 6th minute of play. Andreas Fröhlich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Edmund Kaiser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucien Bauschs short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Leo Schmitz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Gerry Bartsch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 26 played minutes Astley got a freekick which was hit by Walter Lavigne. Edmund Kaiser showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andreas Fröhlich in the 30th minute of the match. When Bernhard Hommel came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the C.A. Spora fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernhard Hommel couldn't finish the play. Walter Lavigne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Leo Schmitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leo Schmitz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 41st minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. Spora's zone, Lucien Bausch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leo Schmitz came out of the goal and Lucien Bausch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Lucien Bausch made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mark Hilgendorf in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmund Kaiser prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leo Schmitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walter Lavigne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Astley getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Gerry Bartsch hit a great ball. Andreas Fröhlich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmund Kaiser having to interfere. In the 65th minute Lucien Bausch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Schmitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leo Schmitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucien Bausch in the 68th minute of the match. Leo Schmitz came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Astley's Lucien Bausch. But to his dismay, Lucien Bausch quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 73rd minute Walter Lavigne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Schmitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Kurt Weiss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Lucien Bausch sped through C.A. Spora's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leo Schmitz. 86 minutes into the match, C.A. Spora's goal looked a bit too open when Lucien Bausch came free, but Leo Schmitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Mark Hilgendorf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucien Bausch scored 6-0 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leo Schmitz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Walter Lavigne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95thth minute of the game Lucien Bausch who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A. Spora's Leo Schmitz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 96th minute, Oswald Bach hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Astley fully deserved thier win.
