Shalke Overligger fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bart Hartmann should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, North Walsham's Karl Izzard got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 31st minute Elmar Kremer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Moody saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elmar Kremer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Michael Moody tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ernie von Axelson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The F.C. Shalke Overligger players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. North Walsham were winning 0-1.

Joshua Hayes might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bart Hartmann. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joshua Hayes ran back to his position shaking his head. Joshua Hayes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bart Hartmann having to interfere. Michael Moody showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elmar Kremer, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. If Max Edgson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Max Edgson came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the North Walsham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Max Edgson couldn't finish the play. Michael Moody took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elmar Kremer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. F.C. Shalke Overligger's Bart Hartmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joshua Hayes in the 75th minute of play. In the 82nd minute of the match, Callum Bartlett got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bart Hartmann was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Joshua Hayes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bart Hartmann having to interfere. Bart Hartmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joshua Hayes in the 86th minute of play. Max Edgson came free with the goalkeeper in the 88th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bart Hartmann could save by the left post. In the 89th match minute, F.C. Shalke Overligger was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yannick von Radowitz to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, Ernie von Axelson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over North Walsham could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than F.C. Shalke Overligger throughout the match.
