After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Lenny Thimmesch managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hawkcombe's supporters rose to their feet, but Lenny Thimmesch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eddy Zimmermann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 10th match minute, Reflection was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Wilhelm to maneuver through the defense. Danny Frantz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Henry Juncker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute Lenny Thimmesch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddy Zimmermann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michael Probst blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henry Juncker having to make a save. The Hawkcombe players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Reflection were winning 0-2.

Henry Juncker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Probst in the 53rd minute of play. Danny Frantz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Henry Juncker made a huge save. After 56 played minutes Hawkcombe got a freekick which was hit by Georg Schleck. Hawkcombe's Henry Juncker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Hawkcombe from getting a goal against them. Michael Probst made a great header on Reflection's corner, it was just that Hawkcombe's Henry Juncker managed to reach the ball for a save. If Michael Probst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danny Frantz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Henry Juncker made a huge save. When the final whistle sounded Reflection left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Hawkcombe.
