The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Lutz Knubel fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LuxTor's protests and gave Lutz Knubel a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, LuxTor's Lutz Knubel got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Gregory Apfelbaum scored 1-0 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eddy Diederich, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 6 minutes into the match, Harold Schneider had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patrick Stoffel. Gebrüdersdorfer SV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Harold Schneider was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 10 minutes into the match, LuxTor's goalkeeper Eddy Diederich had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gregory Apfelbaum. When Yannick Kremer fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gebrüdersdorfer SV's protests and gave Yannick Kremer a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harold Friedrich in the 18th minute of play forced LuxTor's goalkeeper Eddy Diederich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eddy Diederich made an important save on a dangerous shot by Harold Friedrich in the 19th minute. Gregory Apfelbaum's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Eddy Diederich firmly grabbed it by the left post. 25 minutes into the game, Adrian Nassau was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LuxTor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gebrüdersdorfer SV the free kick. Adrian Nassau hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gregory Apfelbaum was the one to do the kick off. Harold Friedrich's late challenge caught a LuxTor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Harold Friedrich helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of LuxTor booed when Gebrüdersdorfer SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harold Friedrich didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the game, LuxTor's Lutz Knubel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patrick Stoffel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Gebrüdersdorfer SV's Patrick Stoffel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Gebrüdersdorfer SV from getting a goal against them. 67 minutes into the game, LuxTor's Harold Schneider nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patrick Stoffel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Eddy Diederich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregory Apfelbaum in the 70th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hellmuth Otto in the 73rd minute of play forced LuxTor's goalkeeper Eddy Diederich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gebrüdersdorfer SV's Patrick Stoffel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Gebrüdersdorfer SV from getting a goal against them. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 1-5 when Lutz Knubel sped through Gebrüdersdorfer SV's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Patrick Stoffel. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lutz Knubel got free with Patrick Stoffel in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 87 minutes into the match, Gebrüdersdorfer SV's goal looked a bit too open when Gustav Bodenschatz came free, but Patrick Stoffel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The LuxTor fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when LuxTor's Lutz Knubel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Patrick Stoffel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lutz Knubel in the 91st minute of the match. After 96 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for LuxTor! The referee gave Gebrüdersdorfer SV a penalty, 98 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hellmuth Otto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of LuxTor's Eddy Diederich. 2-6.
