Hawkcombe's Lenny Thimmesch got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Henry Juncker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincent Hislop in the 12th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vincent Hislop in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henry Juncker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Henry Juncker was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edmondo Venditti showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 14 minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Hawkcombe's goal looked a bit too open when Vincent Hislop came free, but Henry Juncker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmondo Vendittis short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Henry Juncker to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Mondorf Forest fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Mondorf Forest's Edmondo Venditti looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Edmondo Venditti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Henry Juncker made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Vincent Hislop took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Henry Juncker to make any attempt to save it. In the 37th minute, Fred Nosbusch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Mondorf Forest booed when Hawkcombe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Horowitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Linus Göbl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Henry Juncker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Mondorf Forest's Edmondo Venditti slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Henry Juncker. That made the score 5-0 after 42 minutes of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lenny Thimmesch was the one to do the kick off. When Edmondo Venditti came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Mondorf Forest fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmondo Venditti couldn't finish the play. Julian Horowitz charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Julian Horowitz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Julian Horowitz hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmondo Venditti in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henry Juncker saved Hawkcombe from getting behind. After 61 minutes, Fred Nosbusch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hawkcombe and the Mondorf Forest players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Hawkcombe getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Georg Schleck hit a great ball. After 69 played minutes Hawkcombe got a freekick which was hit by Georg Schleck. When Mondorf Forest's Vincent Hislop in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hawkcombe's goalie prevented a goal. Henry Juncker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Horowitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vincent Hislop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Juncker having to interfere. A collision led to Hawkcombe getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Fred Nosbusch hit a great ball. When Stefan Horowitz came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Mondorf Forest fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stefan Horowitz couldn't finish the play. Fred Nosbusch hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 87 minutes into the match, Hawkcombe's goal looked a bit too open when Vincent Hislop came free, but Henry Juncker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 91 played minutes, Hawkcombe's Rudolph Hauck shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Martin Steffen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hawkcombe reached it. After a rather tough play, Mondorf Forest's Lazlo Guttenbrunn got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Georg Schleck was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 93rd minute. Hawkcombe's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When the referee ended the match the Mondorf Forest players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
