Spectators: 7406 (Terracing: 5555, Seating: 1703, VIP seats: 148) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carter Falcone started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmine Bernardi in the 3rd minute of play forced Santa Croce AFC's goalkeeper Attilio Tomei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carmine Bernardi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Attilio Tomei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Franco Tarulli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Posillipo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Ladislao Hernando scored to the left of an out of position Andrea Facchini, making the score, 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Franco Tarulli in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrea Facchini saved Posillipo from getting behind. Andrea Facchini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franco Tarulli in the 25th minute of play. Andrea Facchini didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 27th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. With splendid footwork Ladislao Hernando arrived in front of goal to shoot 4-0 by the left pole in the game's 29th minute. Arturo Doris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Andrea Facchini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute Franco Tarulli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrea Facchini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelo Scibilia took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Attilio Tomei. Santa Croce AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Carmine Bernardi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Posillipo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santa Croce AFC the free kick. In the 38th minute, Carmine Bernardi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carter Falcone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Attilio Tomei having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Santa Croce AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Domenico Ragusa came free, but Attilio Tomei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ladislao Hernando during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 48 played minutes Santa Croce AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Hernando. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Franco Tarulli to make the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Ladislao Hernando managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santa Croce AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ladislao Hernando was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Santa Croce AFC fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Santa Croce AFC's Franco Tarulli looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 59th minute, Posillipo's Amerigo Berti ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Attilio Tomei. Attilio Tomei yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-1. Davide Lauri's late challenge caught a Posillipo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Davide Lauri helped the player get up and apologised. 65 minutes into the game, one of Santa Croce AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Posillipo a penalty, 67 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alessio Desiderio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Santa Croce AFC's Attilio Tomei. 5-2. If Ladislao Hernando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74thth minute of the game Amerigo Berti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santa Croce AFC's Attilio Tomei was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Domenico Ragusa took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Attilio Tomei. Attilio Tomei dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-3. Posillipo's Andrea Facchini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislao Hernando in the 83rd minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Santa Croce AFC's Ladislao Hernando sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andrea Facchini narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Carter Falcone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Attilio Tomei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ladislao Hernando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andrea Facchini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Hernando in the 98th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Santa Croce AFC had won after a very even match.
