The supporters of Grange FC booed when Malpaga FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damiano Bertoni didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 5 minutes Malpaga FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Arrigo Tacconelli who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Grange FC's corner Arrigo Tacconelli fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alex Santo quite easily take care of the ball. Biagio De Rubeis's late challenge caught a Grange FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Biagio De Rubeis helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Malpaga FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Biagio De Rubeis hit a great ball. In the 12th minute Comunardo Lavatrice shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Talamo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute, Comunardo Lavatrice left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Malpaga FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Angelo Talamo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Comunardo Lavatrice, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Amos Donadoni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Talamo having to interfere. In the 32nd minute Amos Donadoni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Talamo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Biagio De Rubeis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Comunardo Lavatrice might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Angelo Talamo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Comunardo Lavatrice ran back to his position shaking his head. Angelo Talamo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Comunardo Lavatrice in the 46th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emiliano Ciscato made a kick off. Angelo Talamo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Amos Donadoni showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 55 minute of play. Emiliano Ciscato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Emiliano Ciscato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Grange FC's goalkeeper Angelo Talamo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Angelo Talamo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Comunardo Lavatrice, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Malpaga FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Amos Donadoni hit a great ball. Bianco Albanesi charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bianco Albanesi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd minute, Amos Donadoni made a precise shot to the right of Angelo Talamo. Grange FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. When Malpaga FC's Comunardo Lavatrice in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Amos Donadoni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Angelo Talamo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelo Talamo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Comunardo Lavatrice, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Alex Santo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Ciscato in the 97th minute of play. If Biagio De Rubeis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Grange FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Malpaga FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
