After a rather tough play, Portici's Alessandro Balestra got a free kick in the 4th minute. Portici's Federico Melchiorre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Leoni in the 6th minute of play. Eugenio Leoni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kakagol's Aldo Palma got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Kakagol booed when Portici was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armin Scafati didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Amedeo Hell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portici's supporters rose to their feet, but Amedeo Hell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eraldo Liberati breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 21st minute, Donato Gualtieri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kakagol fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Federico Melchiorre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Sergi in the 25th minute of play. Donato Gualtieri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Melchiorre having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Kakagol's goal looked a bit too open when Amos Bianchi came free, but Eraldo Liberati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Amos Bianchi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eraldo Liberati was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. In the 36thth minute of the game Eugenio Leoni who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Portici's Federico Melchiorre was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Edmondo Lucchetti fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Portici's protests and gave Edmondo Lucchetti a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th match minute, Portici was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmondo Lucchetti to maneuver through the defense. Aldo Palma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aurelio Sergi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Federico Melchiorre read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Portici's Federico Melchiorre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Leoni in the 45th minute of play. Eugenio Leoni might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Federico Melchiorre. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eugenio Leoni ran back to his position shaking his head. Federico Melchiorre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Leoni in the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amos Bianchi to make the kick off. Kakagol's Aurelio Sergi got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Kakagol getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Carlo Caporale hit a great ball. Eugenio Leoni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Eugenio Leoni came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Kakagol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eugenio Leoni couldn't finish the play. Federico Melchiorre was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eugenio Leoni showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 63 minute of play. With a little luck, Portici's Federico Melchiorre got control of the ball when Eugenio Leoni tried to sneak it across the goal line. Federico Melchiorre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donato Gualtieri in the 73rd minute. Edmondo Lucchetti was shown his second yellow card after 77 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 78th match minute, Portici was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmondo Lucchetti to maneuver through the defense. Federico Melchiorre dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Eugenio Leoni was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 87th minute. Kakagol's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eugenio Leoni in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Federico Melchiorre saved Portici from getting behind. 91 minutes into the match, Portici's goal looked a bit too open when Aldo Palma came free, but Federico Melchiorre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Federico Melchiorre was a little too slow when Eugenio Leoni got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 0-5. Kakagol's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
