The supporters of Aosta booed when Casale Sul Sile AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniele Cavallo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 9 played minutes, Aosta's Claudio Cassone shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Concetto Taddeo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Federico Chitarroni charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Federico Chitarroni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th minute Attilio Minicucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabrizio Bottega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Concetto Taddeo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Brandini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the game, Carmine Di Persio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Claudio Cassone took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Concetto Taddeo. Casale Sul Sile AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Claudio Brandini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andrea Coscarella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match was over Aosta could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Casale Sul Sile AFC throughout the match.
