In the 23rd minute, Romelio Garretón ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alessio Morandin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Donato Grande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Apolloni in the 28th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Lizzano AFC's Alfonso Patricelli got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute, Romelio Garretón got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vivaldo de Carvalho struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Alessio Morandin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ISORELLE. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Romelio Garretón was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, ISORELLE's goal looked a bit too open when Comunardo Zoff came free, but Donato Grande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute Comunardo Zoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Grande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, ISORELLE's goal looked a bit too open when Comunardo Zoff came free, but Donato Grande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Attilio Mingione's late challenge caught a Lizzano AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Attilio Mingione helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd match minute, ISORELLE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Attilio Mingione to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to ISORELLE getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Alfredo Circelli hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Patricelli in the 81st minute of play forced ISORELLE's goalkeeper Donato Grande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 83 in the game by Vivaldo de Carvalho from a close distance when the talented Alessio Morandin managed to make a qualified save. Lizzano AFC's players were relieved. Alessio Morandin was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Romelio Garretón capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Romelio Garretón really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. After 89 played minutes ISORELLE got a freekick which was hit by Cesare Manzo. Donato Grande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Patricelli in the 98th minute of play.
