The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Angelo Guadagnoli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Fausto Aquilino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enzo Antonacci was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Flavio Giordano during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Liburnia getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Flavio Giordano hit a great ball. 7 minutes into the game, Fausto Aquilino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Enzo Antonacci was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 12th minute, Angelo Guadagnoli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Alexander Varglien fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Liburnia's protests and gave Alexander Varglien a yellow card for diving instead. After 16 minutes, Christian Tornese mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vignale Nuovo and the Liburnia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Christian Tornese kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Carlo Liaci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Fulvio De Filippo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arrigo Di Tommaso charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arrigo Di Tommaso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Vignale Nuovo getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Arrigo Di Tommaso hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Fausto Aquilino put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Enzo Antonacci. When Enzo Banana fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Liburnia's protests and gave Enzo Banana a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd match minute, Liburnia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Banana to maneuver through the defense. Vignale Nuovo's Angelo Guadagnoli got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fausto Aquilino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 41 minutes of play, Vignale Nuovo's Angelo Guadagnoli made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Enzo Antonacci was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Bianco Leggeri came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Liburnia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bianco Leggeri couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Bianco Leggeri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liburnia's supporters rose to their feet, but Bianco Leggeri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fulvio De Filippo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlo Liaci was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Bianco Leggeri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liburnia's supporters rose to their feet, but Bianco Leggeri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fulvio De Filippo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 53rd minute Carlo Liaci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulvio De Filippo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Liburnia's Enzo Antonacci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Aquilino in the 58th minute of play. Fulvio De Filippo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlo Liaci, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. When Fausto Aquilino came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Vignale Nuovo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Aquilino couldn't finish the play. If Fausto Aquilino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelo Guadagnoli struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Enzo Antonacci didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vignale Nuovo. With his leg Enzo Antonacci managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Vignale Nuovo's Angelo Guadagnoli fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Fausto Aquilino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fausto Aquilino in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enzo Antonacci prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vignale Nuovo's Fausto Aquilino was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 80th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Bianco Leggeri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arrigo Di Tommaso kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Enzo Antonacci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Aquilino, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Angelo Guadagnoli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Enzo Antonacci made a huge save. Fausto Aquilino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Angelo Guadagnoli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enzo Antonacci having to interfere. Vignale Nuovo played a much better game than Liburnia and deserved their victory. The Liburnia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
