Fabio Grimaldi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabrizio Ruggieri, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After 7 played minutes, Borgo Montello FC's Fabiano Cerri shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bayron Mast came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Borgo Montello FC reached it. In the 10th minute, Fabrizio Ruggieri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabio Grimaldi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience was convinced that Bernardo Di Cristofaro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabio Grimaldi was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Borgo Montello FC's zone, Fabrizio Ruggieri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabio Grimaldi came out of the goal and Fabrizio Ruggieri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Futbol Argentino's Fabrizio Ruggieri got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 18th match minute, Borgo Montello FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Testi to maneuver through the defense. Daniele Borromeo kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Bernardo Di Cristofaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Fabio Grimaldi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Di Cristofaro in the 28th minute of play forced Borgo Montello FC's goalkeeper Fabio Grimaldi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Bernardo Di Cristofaro put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Fabio Grimaldi. 34 minutes into the match, Bernardo Di Cristofaro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabio Grimaldi. Borgo Montello FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernardo Di Cristofaro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. The supporters of Borgo Montello FC booed when Futbol Argentino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vygandas Kuliešius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabio Grimaldi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrizio Ruggieri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th match minute, Borgo Montello FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amos Fortuna to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Bernardo Di Cristofaro put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Fabio Grimaldi. The Borgo Montello FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Futbol Argentino were winning 0-6.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernardo Di Cristofaro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Enrico Chelodi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Futbol Argentino and the Borgo Montello FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Futbol Argentino's Enrico Chelodi got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute Fabrizio Ruggieri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Grimaldi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Borgo Montello FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Amos Fortuna hit a great ball. 56 minutes into the match, Futbol Argentino's Bernardo Di Cristofaro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabio Grimaldi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Godfredo Paul in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabio Grimaldi saved Borgo Montello FC from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Futbol Argentino's Fabrizio Ruggieri slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fabio Grimaldi. That made the score 0-7 after 59 minutes of play. Bernardo Di Cristofaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Grimaldi having to interfere. Fabio Grimaldi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrizio Ruggieri in the 64th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabrizio Ruggieri in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabio Grimaldi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Fabrizio Ruggieri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the match, Fabrizio Ruggieri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabio Grimaldi. Borgo Montello FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabrizio Ruggieri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. When Fabrizio Ruggieri came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Futbol Argentino fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabrizio Ruggieri couldn't finish the play. Fabio Grimaldi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabrizio Ruggieri in the 80th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Borgo Montello FC's goalkeeper Fabio Grimaldi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardo Di Cristofaro. In the 94th minute, Fabrizio Ruggieri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabio Grimaldi came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Futbol Argentino's Bernardo Di Cristofaro. But to his dismay, Bernardo Di Cristofaro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-10. Futbol Argentino's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
