Alessio Domenici didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute Attilio Piscitelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Stumpo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Federico Dominici's late challenge caught a Cornocchio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Federico Dominici helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th minute of the match Carmine Oriali shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristiano Stumpo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Carmine Oriali took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cristiano Stumpo. A.C. C U R E's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 24th match minute, Cornocchio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Del Grosso to maneuver through the defense. Cornocchio's Edmondo Petrocchi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Cornocchio from getting a goal against them. Cristiano Stumpo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Miconi in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, A.C. C U R E's goal looked a bit too open when Domenico Baggio came free, but Cristiano Stumpo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to A.C. C U R E getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Domenico Capuozzi hit a great ball. Cristiano Stumpo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiano Miconi in the 38th minute of the match. Domenico Baggio scored 0-1 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristiano Stumpo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Fabiano Miconi made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Adriano Urbani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmondo Petrocchi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 53 minutes into the match, Cornocchio's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Urbani came free, but Edmondo Petrocchi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristiano Stumpo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabiano Miconi, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Attilio Piscitelli got free with Cristiano Stumpo in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edoardo Toccaceli was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 62 minutes into the match. The referee gave Cornocchio a penalty, 64 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Carmine Oriali, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of A.C. C U R E's Cristiano Stumpo. 0-2. In the 68th minute of the match, Fabiano Miconi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cristiano Stumpo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Cristiano Stumpo made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Domenico Baggio sent off a good shot on target. Adriano Urbani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Domenico Capuozzi fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.C. C U R E's protests and gave Domenico Capuozzi a yellow card for diving instead. Attilio Piscitelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Cornocchio defense, Adriano Urbani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edmondo Petrocchi. The Cornocchio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edmondo Petrocchi should have stopped the shot. Attilio Piscitelli scored 1-3 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristiano Stumpo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Cornocchio's Fabiano Miconi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cristiano Stumpo. That made the score 1-4 after 94 minutes of play. The Cornocchio supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cornocchio would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
