The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 11th minute, Davide Ricciuti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arif Oğuz Cantürk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davide Ricciuti in the 13th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Burnley FC's Dennis Castellazzi got a free kick in the 16th minute. After 21 minutes, Davide Ricciuti made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Burnley FC's Arif Oğuz Cantürk tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Anselmo Barone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute Comunardo Tarantini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Ceci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Due Sicilie's Fausto Ceci proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Due Sicilie from getting a goal against them. Arif Oğuz Cantürk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Brandolini in the 30th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Burnley FC's zone, Davide Ricciuti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arif Oğuz Cantürk came out of the goal and Davide Ricciuti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristiano Brandolini's late challenge caught a Burnley FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristiano Brandolini helped the player get up and apologised. Cristiano Brandolini kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Andrea Gelsomini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Comunardo Tarantini to make the kick off. Comunardo Tarantini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Fausto Ceci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Cristiano Brandolini made a precise shot to the right of Arif Oğuz Cantürk. Burnley FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Cristoforo Balboni hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Due Sicilie's Ettore De Angelis broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 70 minutes, Beppe Persichetti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Burnley FC and the Due Sicilie players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Burnley FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Beppe Persichetti hit a great ball. Davide Ricciuti who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Arif Oğuz Cantürk when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cristiano Brandolini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arif Oğuz Cantürk having to interfere. Burnley FC's Anselmo Barone got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Due Sicilie's Davide Ricciuti dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Arif Oğuz Cantürk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrea Gelsomini, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Fausto Ceci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Comunardo Tarantini in the 83rd minute of play. If Andrea Gelsomini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute of the game Beppe Persichetti made a throw-in which Ermanno Di Marzio played forward. When Davide Ricciuti, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 90 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Arif Oğuz Cantürk was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 95 minutes of play, Burnley FC's Comunardo Tarantini made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fausto Ceci was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Burnley FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Due Sicilie were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
