Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Davide Ricciuti started the match with the kick off. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Biagio Madaio took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Fausto Ceci to make any attempt to save it. Fausto Ceci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ennio Ingegno in the 8th minute of the match. Ennio Ingegno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fausto Ceci read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Andrea Gelsomini made a precise shot to the right of Beppe Chiarelli. Venezia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Ennio Ingegno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Ceci having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Ennio Ingegno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fausto Ceci was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Due Sicilie's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Donato Malatesta scored to the left of an out of position Fausto Ceci, making the score, 3-1. Ennio Ingegno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Ceci having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davide Ricciuti in the 47th minute of play forced Venezia's goalkeeper Beppe Chiarelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ennio Ingegno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Cristiano Brandolini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Due Sicilie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Brandolini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Davide Ricciuti's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Beppe Chiarelli skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in Venezia's zone, Andrea Gelsomini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beppe Chiarelli came out of the goal and Andrea Gelsomini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claudio Odisio kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Malatesta in the 69th minute of play forced Due Sicilie's goalkeeper Fausto Ceci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Due Sicilie getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Cristiano Brandolini hit a great ball. After having played for 72 minutes, Cristiano Brandolini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Due Sicilie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Brandolini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andrea Gelsomini was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 74th minute. Due Sicilie's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Beppe Chiarelli was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Concetto Tana. 79 minutes into the match, Venezia's goalkeeper Beppe Chiarelli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristiano Brandolini. Davide Ricciuti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Beppe Chiarelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The throw-in from Bruno Marinacci in the 87th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Due Sicilie's Alessandro Sacchetti. Alessandro Sacchetti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Beppe Chiarelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venezia's Beppe Chiarelli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Venezia from getting a goal against them. Beppe Chiarelli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Davide Ricciuti's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Andrea Gelsomini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Due Sicilie's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Venezia had won, even though Due Sicilie had held more of the ball.
