In the 47thth minute of the game Luciano Lluques who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Eporediao Athleticao's Francesco Muzi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The referee showed Claudio Pani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Rosenborg getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Claudio Pani hit a great ball. Rosenborg played a much better game than Eporediao Athleticao and deserved their victory. The Eporediao Athleticao players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
