The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ciro Biagetti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonello Marulli in the 3rd minute of the match. The supporters of Maci FC booed when Lana Ombelicale FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Di Rocco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Armando Santagata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Lana Ombelicale FC defense, Armando Santagata kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ciro Biagetti. The Lana Ombelicale FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ciro Biagetti should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Lana Ombelicale FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Aldo Lauria hit a great ball. Ciro Biagetti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Guerini, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonello Marulli in the 13th minute of play forced Lana Ombelicale FC's goalkeeper Ciro Biagetti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Antonello Marulli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maci FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Ciro Biagetti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonello Marulli in the 19th minute of play. Ciro Biagetti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Santagata, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute Armando Santagata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Biagetti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Davide Pinti scored 0-5 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ciro Biagetti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 37th minute, Antonello Marulli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ciro Biagetti was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. 40 minutes into the match, Antonello Marulli notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Lana Ombelicale FC's Ciro Biagetti. Ciro Biagetti was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Ciccio Caputo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armando Santagata kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Maci FC were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ciccio Caputo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Alfonso Cremonese shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Biagetti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciro Biagetti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Santagata in the 57th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Maci FC's Armando Santagata ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ciro Biagetti. Ciro Biagetti yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-9. The supporters of Maci FC booed when Lana Ombelicale FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvise Miconi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Antonello Marulli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ciro Biagetti. Lana Ombelicale FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antonello Marulli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-10. Ciro Biagetti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Cremonese in the 68th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Davide Pinti dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ciro Biagetti, 0-12. Ciro Biagetti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Santagata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciccio Caputo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Ricky Le Roy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Armando Santagata dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ciro Biagetti, 0-13. Ciro Biagetti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davide Pinti, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Davide Pinti kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ciro Biagetti. That made the score 0-14 in the 86 minute of play. Alfonso Cremonese recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ricky Le Roy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciccio Caputo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Maci FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lana Ombelicale FC.
