Ribera's Alessandro Del Bello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessio Scudieri in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th minute PARMA were awarded a corner. Cesare Cellucci went to the cornerflag to take it. PARMA's Cesare Cellucci was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alessandro Del Bello in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Antonio Luciano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans Wery in the 12th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Hans Wery put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Antonio Luciano. Ibrahim Türker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 20 minutes, Hans Wery managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ribera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hans Wery was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Antonio Luciano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ibrahim Türker in the 22nd minute of play. Antonio Luciano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Wery, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. PARMA's Antonio Luciano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans Wery in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans Wery in the 25th minute of play forced PARMA's goalkeeper Antonio Luciano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Florian Pantani fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PARMA's protests and gave Florian Pantani a yellow card for diving instead. Florian Pantani kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Ibrahim Türker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antonio Luciano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ibrahim Türker in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Hans Wery left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ribera fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Ibrahim Türker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ibrahim Türker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Luciano having to interfere. Alberigo Saturno struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Alessandro Del Bello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PARMA. After the first half Ribera were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hans Wery to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Franco Puce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Ibrahim Türker could shoot a difficult shot in the 53rd minute, which Antonio Luciano however easily saved by the left post. In the 54th minute, Hans Wery made a precise shot to the right of Antonio Luciano. PARMA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Antonio Luciano made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Ibrahim Türker sent off a good shot on target. Ibrahim Türker blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Antonio Luciano having to make a save. After 61 minutes of play, Ribera's Ibrahim Türker made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antonio Luciano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Antonio Luciano came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Ribera's Hans Wery. But to his dismay, Hans Wery quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. A collision led to PARMA getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Alessio Scudieri hit a great ball. Hans Wery did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-6 to the left of a surprised Antonio Luciano 74 minutes into the match. Antonio Luciano was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 86th minute, Ribera's Hans Wery ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Antonio Luciano. Antonio Luciano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. After a rather tough play, PARMA's Franco Puce got a free kick in the 91st minute. Angelo Cavanna was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 92nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ennio Locatelli hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The PARMA fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ribera were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
