The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Pescara Calcio's goal looked a bit too open when İlbey Bayezit came free, but Soulis Vaggelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute İlbey Bayezit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Soulis Vaggelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariusz Lato in the 12th minute of play forced Pescara Calcio's goalkeeper Soulis Vaggelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13th play minutes Mariusz Lato shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Soulis Vaggelis and just under the crossbar into goal. The Orange fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Orange's İlbey Bayezit looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 24th minute Mariusz Lato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Soulis Vaggelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Mariusz Lato notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Pescara Calcio's Soulis Vaggelis. Soulis Vaggelis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mariusz Lato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Soulis Vaggelis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute İlbey Bayezit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Soulis Vaggelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the game, Orange's İlbey Bayezit nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Soulis Vaggelis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Anfilogino Rivera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Venditti in the 38th minute of play. Pescara Calcio were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Orange's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Davide Di Piazza took the corner. Mariusz Lato took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Soulis Vaggelis. Soulis Vaggelis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Angelo Venditti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

Mariusz Lato took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Soulis Vaggelis. Soulis Vaggelis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. 60 minutes into the match, Pescara Calcio's goal looked a bit too open when İlbey Bayezit came free, but Soulis Vaggelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mariusz Lato in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Soulis Vaggelis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. İlbey Bayezit received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Soulis Vaggelis came out and tried to block the shot, but İlbey Bayezit slotted it home off the left post making it 0-10 in the 72nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers İlbey Bayezit in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Soulis Vaggelis saved Pescara Calcio from getting behind. Mariusz Lato scored 0-11 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Soulis Vaggelis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Pescara Calcio's Soulis Vaggelis got control of the ball when Mariusz Lato tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mariusz Lato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Soulis Vaggelis having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by İlbey Bayezit in the 89th minute of play forced Pescara Calcio's goalkeeper Soulis Vaggelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that İlbey Bayezit's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Soulis Vaggelis was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Arturo Ottavi was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After 94 played minutes İlbey Bayezit rounded Pescara Calcio's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-12. Mariusz Lato in the 97thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. The Pescara Calcio fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Orange were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
