Ennio Prandini came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Dinamoblu's Eraldo Micarelli. But to his dismay, Eraldo Micarelli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ennio Prandini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo Sangermano in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Dinamoblu's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Como came free, but Frank Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Dinamoblu's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Federici came free, but Frank Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Vicenza fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Vicenza's Alberto Como looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Alberto Como kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Enzo Sangermano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Ennio Prandini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. From close distance Alberto Como pressed in the 2-1 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 37 minutes into the game. In the 41st minute Cosimo Minati shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ennio Prandini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christian Prosperi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frank Costa having to make a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eraldo Micarelli to make the kick off. With a little luck, Vicenza's Ennio Prandini got control of the ball when Dario Sciarretta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Frank Costa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bianco Pan went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. The Vicenza fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when Vicenza's Alberto Como looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Frank Costa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberto Como's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Dinamoblu's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alberto Como was slow to take the kick. During this time Vicenza's players had a chance to rest. Ennio Prandini was a little too slow when Eraldo Micarelli got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 4-2. 73 minutes into the match, Vicenza's Alberto Como sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frank Costa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dinamoblu's Frank Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano Federici in the 74th minute of play. In the 77th minute Bianco Pan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Dinamoblu's Dave Cerrone got a free kick in the 82nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enzo Sangermano during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Dinamoblu getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Enzo Sangermano hit a great ball. Dinamoblu's Frank Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano Federici in the 84th minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Christian Prosperi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 95 minutes, Bianco Pan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vicenza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bianco Pan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vicenza's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
