Enzo Sangermano charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enzo Sangermano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Enzo Sangermano hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Frank Costa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gregorio Thomas's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Gorla Minore were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Dinamoblu's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Agustin Ibon took the corner. In the 45th minute Gregorio Thomas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Thomas in the 47th minute of play forced Dinamoblu's goalkeeper Frank Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Erik Majer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frank Costa was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. After the first half Gorla Minore were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gregorio Thomas was the one to do the kick off. Fabio Colaneri came out of the goal and Cosimo Minati tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 58 minutes, Alvaro Bencivenni mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gorla Minore and the Dinamoblu players grew even worse after the yellow card. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Frank Costa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Adriano Scalabrino showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-7 in the 88 minute of play. Erik Majer did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-8 to the left of a surprised Frank Costa 94 minutes into the match.
