After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Erik Majer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gorla Minore's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Majer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ferdinando Macchia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Damiano Chitarroni in the 12thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fabio Colaneri, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 13thth minute of the game Gregorio Thomas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marinas's Ferdinando Macchia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Marinas's Damiano Chitarroni in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gorla Minore's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damiano Chitarroni got free with Fabio Colaneri in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erik Majer in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ferdinando Macchia saved Marinas from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Erik Majer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ferdinando Macchia was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Ferdinando Macchia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregorio Thomas in the 18th minute of play. Ferdinando Macchia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gregorio Thomas went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Ferdinando Macchia came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Gorla Minore's Gregorio Thomas. But to his dismay, Gregorio Thomas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Marinas's Ferdinando Macchia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Scarinci in the 24th minute of play. In the 25thth minute of the game Damiano Chitarroni who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gorla Minore's Fabio Colaneri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Erik Majer put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Ferdinando Macchia. Gorla Minore were furious when Amos Rea was red carded, 39 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Fabio Colaneri went to the wrong direction when Anthony Di Salvatore was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Alex Scarinci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Ferdinando Macchia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damiano Chitarroni to make the kick off. Sad Gollum struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Fabio Colaneri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marinas. A nice corner shot did that Ciro Grifoni got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fabio Colaneri quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 57th minute Erik Majer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinando Macchia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute, Erik Majer reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ferdinando Macchia. The goal made the score 0-5. Herensuge Manurga hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Gorla Minore's Fabio Colaneri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damiano Chitarroni in the 63rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Scalabrino in the 91st minute of play forced Marinas's goalkeeper Ferdinando Macchia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
