Manzoteam were furious when Donato Di Lillo was red carded, 45 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 47 minutes into the match, Manzoteam's goalkeeper Anselmo Tiberio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armin Caneva.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Domenico Sacchetti made a kick off.
