Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arrigo Di Girolamo in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elia Lepre prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 13 minutes into the match, cotone fc's goalkeeper Alessandro Giovannelli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alessio Sanna. After having played for 15 minutes, Comunardo Sivieri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. cotone fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Comunardo Sivieri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Comunardo Sivieri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elia Lepre having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, cotone fc's goal looked a bit too open when Francesco Primavera came free, but Alessandro Giovannelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. S.C. Monte Marino were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after cotone fc's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lucjan Škarpa took the corner. The corner led S.C. Monte Marino's Alvaro Longo to fire away a dangerous shot which Alessandro Giovannelli despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arrigo Di Girolamo in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elia Lepre saved S.C. Monte Marino from getting behind. In the 25th minute of the match, Francesco Primavera tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alessandro Giovannelli saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 34th minute Francesco Primavera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Giovannelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 37 in the game by Alessio Sanna from a close distance when the talented Alessandro Giovannelli managed to make a qualified save. cotone fc's players were relieved. Francesco Primavera might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alessandro Giovannelli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francesco Primavera ran back to his position shaking his head. Alessandro Giovannelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francesco Primavera, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Antonio Gaspari's late challenge caught a S.C. Monte Marino's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Comunardo Sivieri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 85 minutes of play, S.C. Monte Marino's Francesco Primavera made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elia Lepre made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Comunardo Sivieri sent off a good shot on target. If Arrigo Di Girolamo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Biagio Melito hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the cotone fc players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for S.C. Monte Marino.
